Metropolis GZM. Here, we play for more!

Metropolis GZM is a place where sport meets urban energy. It hosts events that attract thousands of participants and fans from all over the world, including the 17th World Bridge Series in Katowice.

GZM is a community of 41 cities and municipalities, which, despite their diversity, work together and successfully achieve ambitious goals. It is the first and, so far, the only metropolis in Poland established by a national Act, with a population of over 2 million. The strength of the Metropolis lies in collaboration: in transport, climate protection, economic development, and education.

Thanks to this collaboration, event participants and guests can travel comfortably throughout the region. Transport GZM is one of the largest public transport systems in Europe, encompassing buses, trams, trolleybuses, and regional trains. An integral part of this network is Metrorower, the largest urban bike-sharing system in Poland and the third largest in Europe, featuring over 7,000 bicycles, nearly a thousand rental stations, and covering 40 cities and municipalities. The system is being expanded with further solutions, including long-term electric bike rentals.

Metrorower. Mobility that unites GZM cities.

GZM is a space that combines the potential of its infrastructure, economy, science, and culture. The Metropolis is consistently building its position, competing with major European centres and creating top-tier conditions for life, work, education, and recreation.

Because here, regardless of the sport, we play as a team. And we win together.
